Big crowd at the iron hammer on Mouse Day

On October 3, almost 1,000 young and old fans made their way to the iron hammer in Hasloch to explore the Historic Center of the Kurtz Ersa Group during the nationwide Mouse Day. In addition to the Hammer Museum, the hammer mill also opened its doors - the company origin of the machine builder Kurtz Ersa went into operation in 1779 as a simple hammer mill. Here the astonished visitors experienced how the red-hot iron used to be forced into shape with heavy wooden hammers and were able to forge a small horseshoe themselves.

244 years of company history of the Kurtz Ersa Group were to be discovered in the Hammer Museum, where visitors could expand their knowledge in a playful way at numerous hands-on stations - whether on their own or accompanied by an expert. There was also a treasure hunt in which hidden mice and their letters had to be found, which together gave the solution word. All participants received a small reward for their diligent search. The photo station with the original wooden mouse replica was always busy. Without further ado, the coach house became a craft corner, where many beautiful mouse postcards, sun signs and other coloring templates were creatively designed and own mouse buttons were created. In the end, many "valuable treasures" were transported home by children beaming with joy. The entire Hammer Museum team would like to thank all visitors for a great Mouse Day and is already looking forward to October 2024, when the motto is: Open the doors with the mouse!
